NVIDIA Reportedly Plans to Launch RTX 4060 Ti, RTX 4060, and RTX 4050 Graphics Cards
Prominent hardware leaker @Zed_Wang has shared information indicating that NVIDIA plans to launch the RTX 4060 Ti, RTX 4060, and RTX 4050 graphics cards within the May to June timeframe.
The RTX 4050/4060 series is positioned as a mid-range product line, offering more affordable pricing compared to high-end graphics cards. This follows NVIDIA's typical launch strategy, where the company initially releases high-end graphics cards to attract enthusiasts willing to spend more, while budget-conscious consumers often have to wait longer to purchase mid-range options.
According to the leaker, NVIDIA is planning to release the RTX 4060 Ti at the end of May, followed by the launch of the RTX 4050 in June. The release date for the RTX 4060 desktop graphics card remains undecided at this time.
The report also indicates that NVIDIA has provided material templates for the upcoming products to its AIC (Add-in Card) partners, suggesting that the launch of these graphics cards is imminent. AIC partners are believed to be prepared and are awaiting further notification from NVIDIA.
While specific product specifications remain unknown, hardware website Tom's Hardware has speculated based on previous information that the RTX 4060 Ti may be based on the AD106 GPU core, featuring 4,352 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR6 memory, utilizing a 128-bit interface.
In contrast, the RTX 4060 is expected to be further trimmed down, equipped with a pared-down version of the AD106 core, offering 3,072 CUDA cores and retaining the 8GB GDDR6 memory.
As for the RTX 4050, details are currently scarce, and the public will likely have to wait until its scheduled June launch to learn more about its specifications. The RTX 4050 is expected to be the most budget-friendly option in the lineup, and consumers are eager to see how AIC manufacturers will balance cost reductions with performance to deliver a satisfying price point.
The launch of the RTX 4050/4060 series represents NVIDIA's continued efforts to cater to different segments of the consumer market, providing a range of options to meet various performance and budgetary needs. As always, gamers and PC enthusiasts will be keeping a close eye on the upcoming release to see how these new graphics cards perform and how they align with their individual requirements.
It is important to note that the above information is based on leaked reports and speculation, and NVIDIA has not officially confirmed the details or launch dates for the RTX 4050/4060 series. As with all rumors, caution is advised until official announcements are made by the company.
