[Download] LocalSend v1.16.0 Released: An Open-Source, Cross-Platform File Sharing Application Optimized for Faster Transfers
LocalSend, an open-source, cross-platform file sharing application, supports devices such as Windows 10/11, Mac, Android, and iOS, allowing for quick file transfers between different devices without the need for an internet connection.
Unlike applications developed using Bluetooth protocol, which are relatively slow for file transfers, LocalSend creates a local area network (LAN) between devices for file sharing. This method does not require files to be sent to LocalSend's servers, ensuring safety and privacy. Moreover, the application uses the HTTPS encryption protocol for transfers, enhancing security against potential data breaches.
It's important to note that starting from this version, LocalSend will no longer support the Windows 7 system. Users of Windows 7 will need to upgrade their system or use an older version of LocalSend.
