ChatGPT free version users can now also use GPT application/visual/data analysis/file upload functions
OpenAI Previously announced at a press conference the launch of their latest artificial intelligence model, GPT-4o, which features multimodal support and capabilities similar to the GPT-4 series. The most significant aspect is that this model is available for free to all users.
In a move to attract more users to ChatGPT, OpenAI has now opened access to GPT applications for all free users, including the multimodal capabilities of GPT-4o.
Without needing to spend $20 to subscribe to ChatGPT Plus, users can now enjoy the following features for free:
- Free use of the GPT-3.5 model
- Free use of the GPT-4o model (with a daily limit on the number of queries)
- Free web browsing capabilities
- Free use of the visual features of the GPT-4o model (subject to quota)
- Free ChatGPT upload function (subject to quota)
- Free use of the GPT-4o data analysis function (subject to quota)
- Free access to all GPT applications in the GPT Store
- Most importantly: Free users can also enable the memory function
Although there are quota restrictions for the free version, they are unlikely to significantly impact most users. For those who require high-frequency use of these features, subscribing to ChatGPT Plus may be more appropriate. However, the free version will suffice for those with less demanding needs.
Finally, registering for ChatGPT now requires only an email address without the need for phone number verification. If you don't mind the extra effort, you can register multiple accounts to use interchangeably. If one account gets banned, you will have others ready to use immediately.
