Apple Adds Dynamic Wallpaper Functionality in iOS 18 Beta 3, Adjusting Colors Throughout the Day

In iOS 18, Apple has introduced four new wallpapers in yellow, pink, blue, and purple. Each of these wallpapers comes with a dark mode version, which means the wallpaper shifts to a darker hue when dark mode is activated.

With the release of iOS 18 Beta 3, Apple has enhanced the wallpaper feature by adding dynamic capabilities, similar to the dynamic wallpapers previously available in macOS. The wallpaper's color or hue changes to match the time of day.

It's currently unclear what specific times have been programmed for these changes, but it appears that the wallpapers will transition through different colors at times like morning, noon, evening, and night. Additionally, users have the option to mix and match different wallpapers, enabling an automatic change of wallpapers throughout the day.

The dynamic wallpaper feature is exclusive to iOS 18. However, you can download and set these new wallpapers now, with the full experience of combined and dynamic wallpapers available once the final version of iOS 18 is released.
