Many users might not be aware of or have used this feature. Launched a few years ago by Microsoft, "Suggested Actions" would pop up options when users copied phone numbers or dates in Windows 11, offering to save them to contacts or create new calendar events.
Initially, upon its release, this feature was heavily promoted by Microsoft as a key functionality. It is vaguely remembered by Landian.news that this feature seemed to rely on the Microsoft Edge browser, thus also serving as a method to promote Microsoft's browser.
Microsoft has not disclosed the reason behind the feature's removal. Typically, if a feature consistently sees low user numbers and frequency of use, Microsoft may decide to discontinue and eventually eliminate it.
"Suggested Actions" is now in a state of being phased out, with no specific timeline revealed for its removal, though it may be gone by next year's Windows 11 update.
Previously, the Android subsystem feature in Windows 11 was also deprecated by Microsoft. The Android subsystem is no longer receiving updates, and while older versions remain usable, support for this feature might be discontinued at some point.
