YouTube TV Subscription Price Hikes Again: Now $82.99 Monthly to Keep Watching Live
Google's OTT internet television service, YouTube TV, has announced another price increase. Following this latest adjustment, the monthly subscription cost for YouTube TV has reached $82.99, marking an approximate 13.6% hike.
Launched by Google for home TV viewers, YouTube TV supports live broadcasts from over 70 TV networks in the United States, including ABC, CBS, Fox, AMC, CNN, TBS, Discovery, and more.
In April 2023, Google announced an increase in the monthly subscription price of YouTube TV from 65 72.99, a hike of 12.3%. This recent increase from 73 82.99 represents a rise of about 13.6%.
Within 20 months, the subscription price of YouTube TV has surged from 65 82.99, an overall increase of more than 27%. At this rate, it's estimated that the monthly price of YouTube TV will soon exceed $100.
Google stated in an email:
Starting January 13, 2025, YouTube TV will update its monthly subscription fee from 72.99 82.99 per month. YouTube TV remains committed to delivering your favorite content in the way you want, offering features that allow you to easily enjoy the best live TV experience.
To keep up with rising content costs and our investment in service quality, we've decided to update our pricing. We do not make these decisions lightly, as we understand they can impact our users.
We will continue to focus on bringing you features that change the way you watch live TV, such as unlimited DVR storage and multi-view capabilities, and supporting the extensive content and vast on-demand library of movies and shows on YouTube TV.
