Xiaomi, OPPO, Honor, and Lenovo to Launch Android 15 Beta for Select Devices
Starting today, the Android 15 Beta version is no longer exclusive to Google Pixel devices, as numerous smartphone manufacturers have joined the testing program to bring the Android 15 Beta to select new devices.
According to a Google page, a variety of manufacturers, including but not limited to IQOO, Lenovo, Nothing, OnePlus, Sharp, OPPO, realme, TECNO, vivo, Xiaomi, and Honor, are all preparing their versions of the beta test.
The beta versions from these OEMs might not include all the features of Android 15 Beta 2. However, for some users, it's a great opportunity to experience Android 15 ahead of its official release.
For details on specific models eligible for the beta update, users should refer to the OEM's website or community forums. Typically, these OEMs provide the Android 15 Beta update only for newer, high-end models, as adapting the software takes time. These models will also likely receive the official version of Android 15 more swiftly once it's launched.
Lastly, a word of caution: the Android 15 Beta may contain some unexpected issues and, in extreme cases, could lead to data loss (as is the case with any beta version). Therefore, it's recommended to back up all data before using the beta version, ensuring you can recover your information if anything goes awry.
