Apple Rolls Out Firmware Version 7A294 for AirPods Pro 2 to Support Various New Features in iOS 18
Apple will introduce a host of new features for the AirPods Pro 2 wireless earbuds with iOS 18, such as the addition of detecting the user's head movements through the earbuds to trigger specific actions.
Common head movements include controlling Siri on AirPods Pro by nodding or shaking the head, allowing users to automatically answer calls by nodding or reject them by shaking their head when a call comes in.
Siri's motion detection interaction can also be used to reply to the latest messages, calls, and play notifications, simplifying operations through AirPods Pro in real-life scenarios.
Apple has also added a voice isolation feature to AirPods Pro, aimed at reducing background noise to make it easier for users to hear useful sounds, such as removing noisy backgrounds and preserving only the speaker's voice as much as possible.
Another new feature is a brand-new personalized spatial audio feature for gaming. Game developers can integrate spatial audio technology into games, providing players with an immersive experience while gaming.
The firmware version 7A294 released this time is suitable for Lightning and USB-C versions of AirPods Pro 2. Currently, this type of wireless headset cannot manually update the firmware. Users can place the charging box near iOS or Mac, and Apple will automatically perform the update.
