NVIDIA Releases Patch 566.45 to Fix Intermittent Stutters in Certain Games
NVIDIA has responded to user feedback by issuing a hotfix driver, NVIDIA GeForce Hotfix 566.45, aimed at addressing stuttering issues in specific games, notably affecting "Uncharted 2: The Circle of Thieves."
The recent update for "Uncharted" enabled ray tracing by default on systems with high-end NVIDIA graphics cards. However, this feature led to intermittent stuttering for some users, detracting from the gaming experience.
This hotfix also includes stability fixes for Ubisoft games using the Snowdrop engine, helping to reduce issues like stuttering and enhancing overall gameplay.
Update Details:
This patch focuses on optimizations for specific games and engines and shares the same patches, bug fixes, and known issues as version 566.36. If you do not require these specific improvements (e.g., you do not play "Uncharted" or Ubisoft games), you may skip this update. A version including these fixes will be incorporated into the next WHQL certified driver.
