NVIDIA Equips RTX 5070/5070 Ti with 12GB and 16GB Memory, 5070 Ti Nearly Matches 5080 Specs
Renowned leaker KOPITE recently unveiled detailed specs for NVIDIA's upcoming RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti graphics cards. According to the leaks, these GPUs will feature 12GB and 16GB GDDR7 memory, respectively.
The leaked specs, such as the RTX 5070 Ti utilizing the GB203-300-A1 chip with 8960 CUDA cores or 70 SM units, suggest a 16% increase over the RTX 4070 Ti, lending credibility to the information. Unlike the entry-level RTX 5050 and 5060 models, which start with 8GB of memory and a 128-bit memory bus, the RTX 5070 series will boast a 256-bit width.
Partial Specs for the RTX 5070 Ti/5070:
- Core Chip: GB203-300-A1 / GB205-300-A1
- CUDA Cores: 8960 / 6144
- Memory Bus Width: 256-bit / 192-bit
- Memory: 16GB GDDR7 / 12GB GDDR7
- TDP: 300W / 250W
The RTX 5070 Ti's 16GB GDDR7 VRAM clocks at speeds up to 28Gbps with a bandwidth of 896GB/s. Its core count is 20% less than the RTX 5080, yet closely matches in other specs. This implies NVIDIA's relatively modest spec bump from the RTX 5080, unlike the significant leap from the RTX 4070 Ti to the RTX 4080.
Considering that both Intel and AMD have given up on the high-end graphics card market, Nvidia is unlikely to launch the RTX 5090 SUPER with 48GB of video memory without too much pressure.
