Beware of Fake Windows 11 Chinese Government Edition Claims
This week on social media platforms, claims have emerged about obtaining a Windows 11 Chinese Government Edition (Custom Edition), which purportedly comes without Microsoft's redundant apps, the Microsoft Edge browser, and has telemetry services removed. This version is said to be more streamlined and thus better suited for everyday use by users.
However, this version is actually fake. The reason is straightforward: during the Windows 10 era, Microsoft indeed collaborated with China Electronics Technology Group to launch a custom version for Chinese government agencies, known as the Windows 10 China Government Edition.
Yet, for Windows 11, Microsoft has not released such a custom version. Thus, claims of a Microsoft-designed Windows 11 for Chinese government agencies are incorrect.
BluePoint.net has not downloaded this version for installation testing, but the publisher claims that the system includes the KMS38 activation tool, which supposedly activates the system until 2038, making the user's system activated upon installation.
Based on the information available, this version seems to be a modified version (based on Windows 11 24H2 Build 26100, labeled as Enterprise G) similar to the Tiny 11 series developed by NTDEV, which is highly streamlined and also removes redundant apps, Microsoft Edge, and telemetry services.
It's likely that the circulating new version is based on a modified Tiny 11 version. The original Tiny 11 does not come with an activation tool, so the publisher might have modified the image to integrate an activation tool to achieve the claimed effect.
We advise caution when installing such versions with clearly false claims, as it's hard to determine whether these images contain malware. For users interested in installing a streamlined system, the Tiny 11 series remains our top recommendation.
