HoYoverse Announces Genshin Impact to Launch on Microsoft Xbox Platform on November 20th, Featuring Cross-Platform Data Integration
HoYoverse, the developer behind the popular open-world game Genshin Impact, has previously made the game available on multiple platforms. However, it had not extended support to the Microsoft Xbox gaming platform, preventing users from connecting to larger screens via Xbox.
During the 2024 Gamescom event, HoYoverse announced a partnership with Microsoft, allowing players to download, install, and play Genshin Impact on Xbox starting November 20th.
With the launch of Genshin Impact on Xbox, players on this platform will receive all the updates available on other platforms, including cross-platform play and progress synchronization. This means that future updates will be synchronized across all supported platforms, and data integration will be available across all platforms.
Currently, Genshin Impact is primarily available on iOS, Android, and Playstation platforms. On the Playstation, users can synchronize their data by linking their PSN account with their HoYoverse account. A similar procedure is expected to be available for the Xbox version.
Importantly, Xbox players will finally be able to enjoy Genshin Impact on larger screens, such as televisions, by installing the game on Xbox.
Additionally, Microsoft has included Genshin Impact in the Xbox Cloud Gaming service, allowing cloud gaming enthusiasts to choose Genshin Impact as one of their gaming options.
