Google Play adds a new payment function. You can invite others to pay for your orders.
Google is rolling out an update to the Google Play Store, introducing a new "Request Payment" feature that allows users to invite others to pay for their purchases.
This feature aims to address the inconvenience faced by users who don't have a supported credit card or bank account. With the new feature, users can generate a payment link and share it with others, who can then click on the link to view the purchase details, including the app or game name and price, and complete the payment.
The generated payment link is valid for 24 hours, after which it expires and a new link must be generated. This feature is expected to reduce unnecessary situations, such as duplicate purchases.
The new feature is particularly useful for users who want to purchase apps or games without buying gift cards or virtual credit cards. To use this feature, users must update to the latest version of the Google Play Store. If your device supports Google Mobile Services, you can check for updates and test the new feature.
