OpenAI Investigates Reported Errors with GPT-4 Mode in ChatGPT
OpenAI is currently investigating issues that some ChatGPT Plus users have encountered while using the GPT-4 mode. These users have reported receiving an error message stating, "Something went wrong. If this issue persists, please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com."
Based on user feedback, the error appears to be sporadic, with the probability of occurrence being relatively low. However, it is believed that some users may experience the error more frequently.
When faced with this issue, users have found that forcibly refreshing the webpage and resubmitting their query typically resolves the problem. In some cases, clearing cookies and cache, then logging back in, has also proven to be effective.
The issue has persisted for over a day, and OpenAI is actively investigating the matter. Users are being informed of the ongoing investigation through a notification banner displayed while using GPT-4 mode, which reads, "Some users are reporting errors when using GPT-4. We are actively investigating."
There is currently no information on when the issue will be resolved. Users encountering this error are advised to try refreshing the page and clearing their cache and cookies as a temporary workaround.
