Microsoft Releases Windows 11 Canary Build 25330.1000, Brings Improvements to Microsoft Store
Microsoft has just launched Windows 11 Canary Build 25330.1000. As a regular update, it does not introduce any significant new features. It is important to note that, according to Microsoft, not every Canary channel update will come with a release log, but one will be provided if there are notable new features or changes.
Due to an unknown issue, this update does not support the ARM64 version of Windows 11, so users of that edition will not receive this update for now.
Improvements to Microsoft Store
Microsoft has rolled out a new version of the Microsoft Store (version 22303.1401.xxx) to Canary and Dev channel users.
Improvement 1: Users can now install free apps and games directly from search results. If no purchase is required, users can download and install apps and games without having to click on their product page, simplifying the process.
Improvement 2: The interface for paid products has been updated, and users will now see a new payment style based on the Mica material language when they are ready to make a purchase.
Improvement 3: In-app rating pop-ups now match the Windows 11 design, and the optimized rating pop-ups are more reliable and faster.
Other Enhancements
- If users change the primary button under Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Mouse, Windows Sandbox will now integrate the host system settings.
- The Remote Desktop Connection settings window has been updated, and if the text scale is set very large under Accessibility, a scrollbar will appear at the bottom of the settings window.
- The BitLocker disk encryption lock user interface has been updated. During the encryption process, users can now minimize or hide the encryption progress dialog box.
- Pre-installed system apps have been adjusted: Starting with this version, if deemed unnecessary, the built-in Camera app can be uninstalled.
Note: Microsoft does not provide known issue descriptions for all Canary channel versions, so it is highly recommended not to use the Canary version on your primary device.
